The Acai Berry Pill Scam
On Oprah’s famous talk show, she once had a feature on the top “super foods” available. She basically listed the “super foods” which she found were most beneficial to your health and a great addition to your diet. Barley, hot peppers, nuts, yogurt, and much more made the list but sitting in front as the top super food according to Oprah Winfrey is the acai berry fruit. Combining this with the good words that the TV star Rachael Ray gave to the audience and viewers at home on her own talk show, a lot of people have gained interested in acai berry pills and ended up falling for a scam!
There are two well known acai berry scams that are out there at this moment. While they may not be considered a “scam” on a legal level, they definitely do trick the consumers and provide them with something that the people don’t want.
The first acai berry scam consists of the pyramid scheme. This is where you are forced to pay a large amount of cash for you to get involved in the program. You will have to invest a lot of money just so you can become a reseller of the acai berry products (juice, pills, and more) and the concept of the whole pyramid scheme is to continue to link down in a chain so you refer people to the program and it keeps going. The problem with this is that the people who really make money from this whole scheme are those that are located at the top of the pyramid.
While this does not mean that every one of these programs are rip-offs, because there are MLM programs available for you to deal with acai berry products and benefit financially, the truth is that there are a lot of them that are rip-offs. You will have to do a lot of investigating before you invest your money in a pyramid scheme so you know that you aren’t getting yourself into a financial deficit.
The next acai scams to look at in the Acai berry industry is the trick where you get offered free pills and the only requirement is that you have to pay for the shipping and handling fees. The thing that you might not know with these places is that you sign yourself up to an order of a bottle of these pills but that’s not it – basically, you’re really joining in a “trial” offer which will later on send another bottle of pills that you will have to pay for.
The problem is that most people won’t read everything that is mentioned of the website – all of those little terms that make such a big deal but they try to hide them, fine print basically. Most people see the great deal and jump on it and that’s a huge mistake. A lot of these people will just clue in a few months down the road that they are now being billed for these pills and they owe the company quite a bit of money.
Various acai berry products hold very strong nutritional value and for you to be able to get a bottle of acai fruit in pill form for free is just unbelievable and a lot of people get a little excited when the opportunity strikes but you have to be careful and know what you are getting yourself into.
Although, most people will continue receiving the pills and using them normally (even though they are being billed) because it actually works so great but you have to make sure that you aren’t paying a super crazy fee because you got sucked in on a great promotional offer.
Just do a little bit of research and you will be able to save yourself a bit of money and quite a bit of stress from those such of acai berry scams.
