The thing I am working on now is picking up some extra cash. I'm looking to do some side work and pick up some OT at my day job. I have been able to put some money away. Once I get to $10K or so, I'll feel a little more comfortable. I think that having 6 months of pay in the bank (like has been suggested in the past) is probably a good idea.
