Research has shown that it may elevate your bodies ability to burn some calories and it has instantly been placed in virtually all available weight loss supplements. Even though it may increase cancer, each individual will have to weigh the pros and cons of taking such a supplement when it may or may not be effective. The maximum benefit to the individual has been shown to be sixty or seventy calories, which is enough to prevent an individual from gaining some weight over time
Many manufacturers also like to include components that they claim inhibits the absorption and digestion of certain carbohydrate products. For example the chemical Chitosan, the chemical in the group with the most potential, has actually been shown not to effect the absorption of carbohydrates at all. For many people who have gone through the run around of these supplements, the last option they have to turn to is fat absorption treatment. There are creams on the market made with Ephedra products that have been shown to at least help a little in losing weight. Even though you can just rub it in to reduce a small amount of fat, it is probably a better suggestion to go the old fashioned route of weight loss and pick up a pair of athletic shoes from a shoe store. Nothing is more effective at losing those unwanted pounds as a strong exercise regiment and a healthy, balanced diet.
