The alcohol slows down the speed of metabolism of the body. To lose weight fast our aim should be to increase the metabolism. Another reason of quitting alcohol is that it contains extra calories. In order to lose weight these excessive calories have to be replaced by plain water. Water has the capacity of flushing away the excess toxins of the body.
